Well it's official; I took the test today and scored a 95% on the FAA CFI (certified flight instructor) exam. Whew, what a relief to get that done and out of the way! I could have kept studying, but I've been over and over this stuff so I decided to go for it. I knew what I knew, closed the books and went into "Take Flight" on Merrill Field here in Anchorage Alaska and took the test which took me about 2 hours to complete. Again, feels good to get over that hurdle. I now have the oral and practical check ride portion up next which leads me to finding a school that uses the R22 for this portion of the training mainly because I can’t afford the R44 which goes through money like a bad cocaine habit.
